Josh is a dedicated community leader, bringing a wealth of experience in law, ministry, and public service to deliver accountability, fiscal responsibility, and trust to Alabama’s taxpayers. His deep-rooted commitment to his state drives his mission to serve its citizens with unwavering integrity.

Since founding Pendergrass Law Firm in Albertville in 2011, Joshua has built a reputation as a skilled attorney specializing in family law, juvenile law, church law, and estate planning. With over 14 years of legal experience, he has navigated complex caseloads, provided contract juvenile counsel for the State of Alabama, and offered compassionate guidance to families and individuals in need.

As both a full-time and part-time pastor, Josh has revitalized congregations across Alabama, fostering spiritual growth and community engagement. His leadership has driven increased baptisms and outreach programs, particularly for young families, strengthening the church’s role as a community cornerstone. His pastoral work reflects his ability to unite people around shared values.

Josh's public service record is equally robust. He served as Communications Director for Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, where he crafted messaging strategies to enhance the state’s image and promote effective governance. His work on legislative and statewide campaigns for prominent Alabama leaders demonstrates his deep understanding of policy, conservative principles, and the needs of Alabama’s citizens.

The first person in his family to attend graduate college, Josh is a graduate of Lambuth University, where he served as Student Government President and Jones School of Law, where he served as an Honor Court member, both of which honed his skills in advocating for good policy and ethical leadership. He is also a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Raised in-part by his grandparents, he embodies the values of hard work, faith, and community service. Married to Leslie Brown, Joshua is a devoted husband and father, balancing family life with his passion for public service.
